PENGARUH NURSING AGENCY:PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PERAWATAN DIRI PADA PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS YANG MENGIKUTI PROGRAM PROLANIS DI PUSKESMAS WONOSARI 1

Background : Diabetes Mellitus is one of the dangerous chronic diseases. Indonesia is ranked 6th in the world. In diabetics, there will be a decrease in self-care due to the disease suffered to prevent the sufferer having to have good knowledge and self-care ability. Nurses have a big role to play in strengthening diabetes mellitus patients to want and be able to carry out self-care at home in order to achieve good blood sugar control

Purpose: this research aims to determine the influence of Nursing Agency on increased knowledge about self-care in diabetic mellitus patients

Method: This research uses Quasi Design Experiment with the approach of the one group pretest post-test design. The number of samples is 16 respondents by means of sampling purposive sampling. The instruments used are PPT, SAP, Video and valid and reliabel knowledge questionnaires. Data analysis using wilcoxon test with α≤0.05

Conclusion: Nursing Agency:health education can improve knowledge about self-care in Diabetes Mellitus patients
